Can I provide approximate figures at declaration and then confirm them at a later date? Can this information be updated after the declaration is submitted? If so, how long do I have to update it?
You are legally responsible for making sure that the information you submit as part of your declaration is correct and complete and you will be required to confirm on your declaration that this is the case.
So you must make sure that you provide accurate figures. You must not submit your declaration with inaccurate information as it’s an offence to knowingly or recklessly mislead us. If, after you complete your declaration, you find out that some of the details included are incorrect, you should update the information as soon as possible. You’ll then need to re-confirm your legal declaration.
