I have resolved the issue with my pension provider. Do I still need to send evidence?

Yes, if you have received an Unpaid Contributions Notice you must send evidence to show the situation is resolved by the deadline on the notice.

Why have I received an Unpaid Contributions Notice?

You have received an Unpaid Contributions Notice because your pension provider has reported to The Pensions Regulator that you owe pension contributions.

What you need to do:

  • You must contact your pension provider to pay the outstanding contributions for the reported period in the Unpaid Contributions Notice, and

  • Send evidence that you have paid the contributions to The Pensions Regulator before the deadline in the Unpaid Contributions Notice.

IMPORTANT: You must pay the contributions before you submit evidence; we cannot accept documents showing payments scheduled for a future date.

Acceptable evidence:

Screenshots from the pension provider’s portal clearly showing points 1, 2 and 3:

  1. the pension scheme EPSR number,

  1. reported periods have been paid, and

  1. the actual date the reported periods were paid – (DD/MM/YYYY).

If you are not able to send screenshots:

  • Bank statements can only be acceptable with additional evidence, eg invoices from the scheme provider.
