I am a director of a company but I am the only person on our PAYE scheme currently. So technically I am an employer but I'm employing myself. Do I have automatic enrolment duties?

If you are the sole director and you have no other staff working for you, your organisation does not have automatic enrolment duties.

If you believe you don’t have any automatic enrolment duties and you have received a letter from us, you will need to tell us that you’re not an employer.

If you do have any other staff working for the company or you start to employ someone, you will have automatic enrolment duties.
